First Term at Malory Towers
We are introduced to Darrell Rivers, the heroine, and several of the girls who are to be key players throughout the series. We first see Darrell as a 'new girl', arriving at school two terms behind most of her classmates and feeling strange and bewildered.
Second Form at Malory Towers
Darrell Rivers is looking forward to her new term in the Second form at Malory Towers and meeting up with her friends again. There are three new girls this term in the North Tower, Ellen, Daphne and Belinda. But Darrell doesn't yet know how the term will end, with a dramatic cliff-top rescue and with a storming Cornish sea raging below
Third Year at Malory Towers
Three new girls turn out to be really exciting this term. Zeralda is an American girl who is into film stars and thinks she can act as well as her screen idol. Bill short for Wilhelmina, who is mad about horses and thinks of nothing else. And Mavis who has a lovely singing voice and is desperate to be an opera singer. Darrell's third term is full of laughter, fun and quite a few surprises.
Upper Fourth at Malory Towers
Darrell's young sister, Felicity, is in the first form this term, and Darrell is looking forward very much to showing off her beloved Malory Towers to her young sister, but Felicity befriends June, a person who Darrell isn't very keen on. But that doesn't take away the excitement Darrell has when she learns she is made head girl of the Upper Fourth. But being head girl isn't quite as exciting as Darrell hoped it would be, and soon begins to lose her temper.
In the Fifth at Malory Towers
Darrell and her friends are excited this term, as it is the fifth form pantomime. But things don't go as smoothly as everyone wants them to with Moira giving out her orders, to the girls rehearsing on stage. Then there is someone who is sending out anonymous letters, which makes everyone uncomfortable. But Mam'zelle Dupont lightens the load a little with a trick she plays on the Fifth formers.
Last Term at Malory Towers
Darrell's last term at her beloved Malory Towers, and happily she is made head girl of the school, an honour she takes very seriously and is immensely proud of. But the term has its ups and downs with Gwendoline constantly grumbling about her father, and then suddenly finds herself faced with a tremendous shock which has her leaving before the term ends.

New Term at Malory Towers
Darrell has left, and Felicity is head of the third form. And what a lot she has to deal with — June and new girl Freddie playing tricks continually, the sickly Bonnie shadowing her, and the stuck-up Amy, who has a strange family secret.
Summer Term at Malory Towers
There's a mystery at the nearby stables — someone has stolen money and then poor Julie's horse. Can the third form help old girls Bill and Clarissa discover who is behind it?
Winter Term at Malory Towers
Susan is excited to be in charge of the winter concert, but Miss Tallant, a new teacher, has very strong ideas about it. And when she interferes in a midnight feast, they realise there's a spy in their midst. But who could it be?
Fun and Games at Malory Towers
New girl Millicent clashes with the feisty June over the school's priorities: a music concert or tennis tournament? But both pale into insignificance when it's found there's a thief in the fifth form.
Secrets at Malory Towers
Felicity is the Head Girl of Malory Towers! Eager to prove herself, she has her hands full with naughty first formers, and a very mysterious new form-mate who is strangely familiar.
Goodbye Malory Towers
After taking their Higher Certificate, the sixth formers want to relax this term. But the Head has a surprise: a finishing school course, with an older girl Gwendoline Lacey as a teacher. Yet someone is determined to drive her out — and it takes the return of Darrell to solve the mystery.
