About the Author:
Tahereh Mafi is an American author known for writing young adult fiction such as This Woven Kingdom and the Shatter Me Series. She is currently based in Santa Monica, California, where she lives with fellow author Ransom Riggs, author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and their daughter. Mafi is an American New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.
She was born in 1998 in a small town in Connecticut and is the youngest child in her family with four older brothers. Mafi graduated from University High School in Irvine, California and later graduated from the Soka University of America. She has varying competency levels in eight languages and even studied abroad in Barcelona for a semester in college.
