About the Author:

Khaled Hosseini is a renowned Afghan-American author, physician, and humanitarian. He was born on March 4, 1965, in Kabul, Afghanistan. Hosseini's early life was marked by the political upheaval in Afghanistan, including the Soviet invasion in 1979. In I do not know  1980, his family sought asylum and moved to the United States, where Hosseini completed his education.

His debut novel, The Kite Runner, was published in 2003 and became an instant international bestseller. The book tells the story of Amir, a young Afghan boy, and his journey of redemption as he confronts the ghosts of his past.
